Good Experiences Come Back 10 Fold

How many times have you needed to call for a service such as carpet cleaning? Mechanic service? How about a more serious issue such as a flood service?

Did you find that looking through the phone book just doesn’t give enough info and searching online pops up to many unreliable, irrelevant leads? Either way, I personally find it hard at times to find quality, fast reliable service.

For instance, I thought word of mouth was the best way to get what I am looking for. So I talked to a friend when my car broke down. “Sure” she said, I know just the place. After agreeing to pay a ridiculous price for a fast turn around, I thought money talks, right? Not in this case, 2 weeks later my car is still in the shop and the price has doubled.

Well after explaining that I found the part myself for half the price they were charging, I would just have it towed to my location to fix it myself. I am quite handy and knew how to fix the problem, but I was going to pay so that I would not be under the hood when I needed to be out working. Trouble is I work from that vehicle and after 2 weeks you can get pretty hungry with no income.

After the manager found out that I was taking my vehicle, they cut the price in half and I agreed to let them try again. We will see how that turns out. The point that I would like to make is that I see it all to often. I see companies take on more work than they can handle or put the same person on the back burner over and over again. I am a victim of that and it feels terrible. Do you think I will send them any biz?

When I started my company Moore Services in 1997, I knew that word of mouth is the most respected advertisement and I wanted just that, a respected name that my customers could count on. From the first day of business, and even now my goal is to build a solid customer base of repeat satisfied customers. Now I have pride knowing that I still have many of my first customers all because of situations that had a negative impact on me. What I mean by that is, I knew I didn’t like to be ripped off or taken advantage of and I sure don’t want a single one of my customers to feel that way either.

Sometimes you just need a fast response and hope for the best after making one phone call. I spend each day making sure that all of my customers feel that calling me is in fact that one call they can trust time and again with out a doubt if they need me. If you or a friend run a company, remind yourself of the frustrations you deal with and turn the situation around to make positive impressions and experiences for your customers. They will thank you 10 fold I promise. Try to confront every frustration as a new learning experience share a smile knowing that you would never do that to a friend or a customer.

For every bad day you have, make someone else’s day a good day by giving them a no hassle experience. Remember, it comes back 10 fold maybe even 20 if they have that many friends and relatives. From 1 to 10 to 100 to 1000. Now that is a lot of happy customers from just 1 happy customer. Just imagine if you gave them a negative experience.

A Clean Vacuum Cleaner Leads To Better Performance

By: Andrew Washington

This is the era of going green. Everything from cars to clothes to fashion accessories are trying to help in the fight to save the environment and prolong our life here on this planet. Household appliances are not exception. The United States even created Energy Star, a government-backed program helping businesses and individuals protect the environment through superior energy efficiency. The standard has been adapted by Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Taiwan and the European Union.

The so-called “green appliances” not only help save energy, but also helps save money. Some stores offer Energy Star rebates in hopes that more customers will choose to go green with their new dish washers, washing machines, or other appliances. The government also offers tax rebates to consumers who choose to buy Energy Star appliances

So, what is a green appliance? It is definitely not changing all your household appliances to the color green. This term generally is used to describe any energy-efficient home appliance, especially one that has received an “Energy Star” rating. The more efficient the appliance, the less energy (and, in some cases like with washer dryers, water) it will use. Lower energy consumption means less pollution from the generation of electricity. This is important because about 90 percent of U.S. electricity comes from nonrenewable sources, mainly fossil fuels and nuclear power..

Most appliances manufactured after 1993, particularly refrigerators, washing machines and dishwashers are significantly more energy-efficient than their predecessors. The bad news is that, of course they’re usually more expensive. For example, a mid-priced, vertical-axis clothes washer generally costs about $500 while a more-energy-efficient horizontal-axis machine starts at about $800 and top-of-the-line models can cost $1,600.

But when you really think about it, the energy savings offset the extra initial cost. And since, as mentioned above, a lot of rebates are being offered, it will really come out cheaper in the long run. Looking at the bigger picture, what’s a few extra bucks to help in the fight to save our planet and our existence?

If you cannot afford to switch to energy efficient washers and dryers right now, you can still do something to “green” your washing habits. You can use warm or cold water in the washer and save more energy by not using hot water. Use natural laundry detergent because those that have harsh chemicals is bad for the environment, not to mention bad for your clothes and your skin. Dry jeans and other heavy garments on a clothesline or clothes rack instead of running your dryer. Your energy bill will go down and your clothes will smell better.

Consider one final environmental factor before you replace an older appliance: embodied energy. This includes all the energy from mining the product’s raw materials to its manufacturing and delivery to the consumer. Your old appliance contains a lot of embodied energy, but remember, so does its potential new replacement. So if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Just find alternative ways to be able to go green while still using your old appliance. It will always come back to you, in ways that you may or may not see

By: Thomas MacIntosh

Why is the name steam cleaner? When the name is home steam cleaner, it is for sure to be associated with the cleaning of the household. But what has steam to do with the cleaning? Precisely take it as a cleaning tool for those things in the household that can resist heat. But if you want to know the specific areas, read the whole article to get the clear picture.

Home steam cleaner makes use of hot water to clean the different surfaces of your house. It can be also used to clean the floor of a bathroom and a carpet. Now can you make out the relation between hot water and steam? In fact home steam cleaners are not meant just to wipe the dirt from the surfaces. It has a bigger purpose to serve. The steam from the hot water kills germs that make a niche in the corners of the floors and surface of the carpets. The allergens, fungus and bacteria are also killed in the process of cleaning.

The common types: Traditional and the latest

Traditional home steam cleaners and vapor steam cleaners are the most known types of home steam cleaners. Traditional steam cleaners are mainly used to clean the floor surface of the house. The operative tools attached to the traditional cleaners are a boiler, a hose, a wiping brush and a container to collect the water after the dirt is cleaned.

The working mechanism is simple. The dirty surface is first filled with warm water and then with the help of the revolving brush the dirt is removed from the floor. Finally the dirty water is removed with the help of the container.

The vapor steam cleaner has been modified to use it in a better and more efficient way. It is a self-sufficient cleaning machine where you need not heat water in a different apparatus for cleaning the surfaces. The machine has its own heater, tank and container. When water is heated up and transformed into steam, it is further transferred to the area to be cleaned via a hose and let out with the help of a nozzle. How does the steam help in cleaning?

The steam is very effective to loosen the dirt and mud patches fixed on the floor surface and thereafter it becomes easier to remove them. The vapor steam cleaner is obviously better than the conventional one and as the moisture quantity is low, the floor or the surface takes hardly any time to get dried up.

Educate Yourself About Vacuum Cleaner Parts Before It Is Too Late

Posted on : 19-06-2009 | By : cherexposed | In : tips and advice

By: Tomaz Mencinger

When it comes to the maintenance and upkeep of the floors, rugs and carpet of a home, just about every household has some form of vacuum cleaner, whether it is an upright or canister model. The number of features possible on a vacuum model is vast. This means that the number of parts it takes to keep the machine in good working condition often increases with each technological advancement where vacuum product features are concerned. This goes from the simplest bagless vacuum cleaner model to the newer brands of vacuums with wet and dry vacuuming capabilities.

The chances of you using one vacuum until the end of time are pretty slim, since everyday or weekly wear-and-tear eventually decreases the strength and effectiveness of vacuum cleaner parts. When this happens, it is time to seek a solution to your unit’s weakened performance. Before abandoning your current model for a new purchase, you may be able to salvage your present model by replacing one or more of its parts.

Vacuum Cleaner Brands Make a Difference

The brand name that you purchase will ultimately determine the kind of costs you should expect in the future when it comes to replacing vacuum cleaner parts. The more popular and extensive the product line is will also determine how easy it will be to locate these replacement parts. You don’t want the hassle of having to special order your parts every time something goes wrong. It is much more convenient to simply drive to the local store and be able to immediately buy the parts you need.

There are numerous vacuum cleaner companies that put out a reputable brand of product when it comes to the picking up of scattered pet hair or the dirt you just spilled on the patio floor. With these small and large cleaning jobs that arise throughout the household, you will encounter a wide-range of vacuum cleaner parts and attachments to make these tasks much easier.

A well-known brand on the market, the Dirt Devil product line has produced an array of convenient hand-held vacuums for us to choose from. With all of the upright stick, canister and hand-held models of vacuums that the company produces, there is also a sizeable line of replacement vacuum parts for a consumer to purchase when their unit is not performing to its usual level of operation.

All vacuum cleaners, at some point in time, need maintenance on their parts, whether they are bagged or bagless, cord or cordless, self-propelled or manually propelled, made especially for pet dander or possess special attachments for allergy sufferers. Through the manufacturer, as well as several catalogs, online and retail stores, you will be able to easily locate the parts that you need to get back into the swing of things. Usually, they do not cost that much.

With Bissell, the replacement parts tend to be a bit pricier because they offer a wider range of products that use a more expensive model to complete vacuuming jobs. Bissell introduces steam cleaners, bare floor vacuums, as well as hardwood floor-oriented steam cleaners, which cost more to make, as well as to replace the parts. Once one of these vacuum cleaners start to go on the fritz, it is better to replace parts than invest the money in a new model.

Commonly Replaced Vacuum Cleaner Parts

One of the most commonly replaced parts on the market is the bag that all of your dirt and grime empties into. Depending on how frequently you use your vacuum or how large your unit is, you could be changing your bag several times throughout the course of a week. This is why it is important to purchase a vacuum cleaner that is easily accessible in terms of store-stocked parts.

For example, if you buy a fancy vacuum cleaner from France, but the bags that it takes are not standard ones available in the U.S., you will have the burden of special ordering these replacement parts, which may or may not arrive in time for your next vacuuming job. This goes for all other vacuum replacement parts for this particular unit. How much extra will you expect to pay over the years? Is it really worth it? The increased maintenance of this model might be too much to keep up with, in regards to both time and money.

You should also remember that the purchase of most replacement parts is not interchangeable when it comes to brand. If you own a Panasonic vacuum cleaner, you will have to buy disposable bags and drive belts that are specific to the Panasonic brand and model you own.

Next to the replacement of the vacuum bag, it is the belt replacement or unclogging of the unit that will also put your vacuum back into tip-top working condition. A clear indicator that your vacuum cleaner is in need of a replacement part is seen through the abnormal sounds or weak suction of your vacuum. You may have a hole in your hose or one of your wheels is not aligned. Whatever the problem, they are usually cured with the simple replacement of dysfunctional parts.

Additional commonly replaced vacuum cleaner parts include the filters, motor fans, bearings, brush rollers, switches, wheels, base plates, bumpers, cord protectors, adapters, hose ends, light bulbs, lens, sockets, plugs, sealing strips, wands, casters and axles. A wide range of convenient attachments may also need replacing, such as brushes and dusters, as well as squeegees. These are usually a much easier problem to solve than trying to work with a vacuum cleaner with a problem motor.

Where to Find Vacuum Cleaner Parts

When it comes time to locate the replacement parts needed to get your model in perfect working condition, there are several avenues to consider. The first involves visiting your local grocery store or home improvement store. If your vacuum cleaner is popular enough, you will find what you need there. For more brand specific parts, you may need to visit a store that specializes only in the sale of vacuum parts.

Finally, you might have to turn to online means of obtaining what you need. There are various online stores offering a wide range of vacuum cleaner parts to choose from, including the official websites of the company where you purchased your model.

Steam Cleaners - The Purest Way To Clean

Posted on : 17-06-2009 | By : cherexposed | In : steam vacuum reviews

By: Tyson J Stevenson

Steam cleaners are machines that clean surfaces using steam or hot water. Steam cleaners are usually used to kill allergens, dust mites, bacteria, mold, fungus etc on the surface being cleaned. Steam cleaners are used in hospitals, hotels, bakeries, restaurants, pharmacies, etc. Household steam cleaners are used to cleanse kitchens, bathrooms, carpets etc. Steam cleaners can be used to clean almost any surface like floors, curtains, furniture, and almost any surface which is heat resistant. There are two types of steam cleaners, traditional steam cleaners and vapor steam cleaners.

A traditional steam cleaner uses hot water to clean the surface. The traditional steam cleaner consists of a boiler, a collecting tank, a hose and brushes. Hot water is sprayed under pressure on the surface being cleaned. Then rotating brushes scrub the surface and the dirty water is suction extracted into the container. Some traditional steam cleaners also use cleaning agents to clean, while most rely on steam and brushes to do the job. Cleaning agents help to remove spots and grime on the surface. The use of traditional steam cleaners is usually restricted to floors only.

A vapor steam cleaner consists of a water container with a heater attachment (collectively known as boiler), a hose and a nozzle. Water is boiled in the container under pressure to produce super heated steam or dry steam. Dry steam is a steam which is heated to more than 100 degrees Celsius. This dry steam is then passed through a hose to the nozzle and onto the surface being cleaned under pressure. This loosens the dirt and grime on the surface being cleaned. Then a vacuum cleaner is used to clean the surface.

The steam generated in a vapor steam cleaner has very low moisture content, usually up to 5 percent. So when a surface is cleaned by steam it becomes dry within few minutes. They generally do not have continuous water supply hence are more convenient to use. Vapor steam cleaners can be used to clean any heat resistant surface like vehicle interiors, windows, bathrooms, etc with proper attachments. Vapor steam cleaners are generally used by people suffering from allergies or who do not want cleaning by chemicals.

There are specialized steam cleaners for carpets called carpet cleaners. They do not use steam but use hot water to clean the carpet. After wetting the carpet, the area is scrubbed with brushes and then the dirty water is sucked back into the receptacle. The carpet is left to dry. Switching on the Air Conditioner in a room dries the carpet quickly as it removes humidity from the air. Once the carpet is dry, it should be vacuumed to clean it thoroughly.

Steam cleaners can have an independent water container or continuous water supply. Continuous water supply is more convenient as the tank need not be refilled repeatedly. The dirty water is expelled after cleaning.

There are many models available in the market. The cost ranges from $100 for residential models to $2000 for commercial models. Before buying the buyer should look for boiler capacity, the attachments, mobility, warranty, user manual, demo CDs etc.
